Industry Veteran to Lead Strategic Expansion Across Europe, the Middle East and Africa
Austin, TX — May 20, 2026 — LE Surfaces, a leading manufacturer of hand-crafted quartz and mineral surfaces, has appointed Luigi Izzo as Executive Vice President and Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Based in Italy, Izzo will lead the company’s regional commercial strategy as LE Surfaces accelerates its global expansion initiatives throughout EMEA.
Izzo brings more than two decades of industry experience to LE Surfaces, beginning his career on the factory floor in Southern Italy more than 20 years ago. He later helped build a U.S.-based engineered stone operation into a successful multi-state commercial business before returning to Europe to assume senior commercial leadership roles across the region.
“Luigi has built engineered stone businesses from the ground up in both the United States and Europe,” said Andrew Evans, Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing at LE Surfaces.. “EMEA represents a critical growth opportunity for us, and Luigi brings the experience and resilience required to lead through the complexity of that market.”
His appointment comes as LE Surfaces expands its presence in EMEA to meet growing demand for premium, design-forward surfacing solutions. The region’s mature specification culture, established distributor and fabricator networks, and streamlined regulatory environment present significant opportunities for scalable growth and deeper market penetration.
LE Surfaces is uniquely positioned to support this expansion through its portfolio of high-quality, differentiated quartz and mineral surfaces designed to appeal to discerning consumers, designers, architects, and specifiers. Known for its hand-crafted manufacturing process, curated color palettes, premium aesthetics, scalable production capacity, and commitment to innovation, the company continues to strengthen its position as a preferred partner for distributors seeking design-driven surfacing solutions backed by reliable product availability, manufacturing consistency, and global operational support.
“The opportunity to join LE Surfaces at this stage of its international growth is incredibly exciting,” said Izzo. “The company has built a strong reputation around craftsmanship, innovation, and differentiated design, and I see tremendous opportunity to expand those strengths throughout EMEA. By combining localized commercial leadership with a regionally aligned business strategy, we can strengthen relationships with distributors and fabricators while delivering solutions tailored to the unique dynamics of each market.”
As part of its EMEA strategy, LE Surfaces aims to establish a centralized commercial structure capable of supporting the region’s diverse market channels while improving responsiveness, operational efficiency, and customer alignment. The company believes strong regional teams are built on local leadership that understands cultural nuances, market-specific dynamics, and the evolving needs of fabricators, distributors, and specification communities.
“Our goal is to build a single regional commercial operation that delivers fabricators and distributors the surfaces they need to win where they compete,” added Evans. “This investment strengthens our ability to scale LE’s business model globally while creating closer alignment with our regional partners and positioning LE Surfaces for continued long-term growth throughout EMEA.”
